After our tiring climb up Blencathra, my dad and I headed into the nearby town of Keswick for some supper. Afterwards we headed down to take some photos of the still lake that is Derwent Water. Derwent Water is a beautifully large lake, riddled with wooded islands such as Derwent Island, which also houses an 18th century manor. In more recent times the lake has served as a film location, most notably it stood in as the lush planet of Takodana in Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens (remember that superb scene with the X-wings flying low over a lake, that was Derwent Water).
