So when your in a city called College Station, one could expect that there would be fair few people who enjoy watching American College Football.

You would be wrong, oh so wrong

EVERYBODY LOVES COLLEGE FOOTBALL IN COLLAGE STATION!

Never have I seen such a spectacle built around any sports game before in my life and this wasn’t even like a championship game. Well they do say everything is bigger in Texas….

I didn’t really know what to expect at my first game of American football, but I didn’t realise it’d be so….exhausting. There were marching bands, parades, military jets, so many traditions, and all in 32 degree heat. Perhaps most annoyingly was when the home team scored and everyone in the stadium then had to get up, wrap their arms around each other and sing the team song while stamping their feet. I really wished I’d known that before filling my lap with various hot dogs and popcorn, safe to say I was devastated when my huge popcorn bucket got kicked over. Unsurprisingly a stadium of over 100,000 people all stamping their feet at the same time is often picked up by the local seismologists as a 3:0 earthquake on the richter scale.
